Light It Up Blue

Light It Up Blue – World Autism Day

For 3 years now World Autism Day has drawn more attention to autism with a special project called Light It Up Blue. In 2011 over 1,800 statues, monuments and landmarks were illuminated in blue in over 180 cities, in 35 countries, and 6 continents around the globe. Among them the Empire State Building, Niagara Falls, Sydney Opera House and the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro (www.lightitupblue.org). The Netherlands participated this year by lighting up the Amsterdam Westertoren and the Beursgebouw in blue from April 1 to 3.

Scriptware was closely involved this year in the worldwide attention for autism while producing various brochures and DVD texts in English, Turkish and Arabic for the Dutch Autism Association (NVA). Translators worked via our TransiBar portal in which InDesign texts can be directly processed. The final layout of the translated versions is easy-to-handle as around 80-90% of the original layout can directly be reproduced after translation.
